I decided to go with large visible room numbers and names for signage in our college's colors. I changed the plaques to circles to add some softness to all the hard edges of our building. I also used a triangular font to along with the front entrance of the building.

Department Signage

Restroom Signage

Classroom signage would be distinctively red instead of the department blue.
Wayfinding. I decided to choose banners. I think they are nice and add some decorations to our bland halls. All classroom and locational signing is red, and the department way finder banners would be blue to match the doors.
For the outdoor signage, I wanted a wooden sign with possible vinyl on it, and the words Baird Hall cut out of it. I think making it school colors would fit with my over all design a lot better.

Environmental Signage

I chose Stephen Sagmeister's Dubai Department store work. I think it is fun, brilliant, and so creative. The blue powder highlights the color in a way I would of never thought of. It is bold and it is something I would of never thought to do. I wouldn't even know where to start when creating the "be bold" imagery. The use of calligraphy in the light painting is elegant and well done. I bet it was a joy to work on these projects.

I chose it because it is creative, brilliant, fun, and different.
I think it is successful because it catches people's eyes and highlights the products and slogans in a unique way.

My post card idea will be able to incorporate Moot, zebras, travel, quotes, and symbolism. The CD itself could be zoomed in song lyrics hand written across the CD.

I wanted to go with the postcard look because I could incorporate travel, zebras, and moot into the idea. I used a wooden table texture for one background and a guitar case texture for the other. I also incorporated his musical instrument, the guitar, with the use of the guitar pick.
